Cards individual and team predictions for 2011:

Record: 9-7 and is good enough to win NFC west.

OFFENSE

Kevin Kolb: 3500+ yards 25TDs 16 INT's and 58% comp. Would have higher comp % but low % at beginning of year until he gets more comfy keeps him below the 60% Mendoza line for season. Last 8 games of year his comp % will be 62%

Fitz: 110 catches 14 TD's 1400+ yards
Roberts: 70 catches 850 Yards 3 TD's
Heap: 55 catches 550 yards and 5 TD's
Doucet: 45 catches 500 yards and 2 TD's

Beanie: 245 for 1029 yards 4.2 YPC and 6 TD's (3 fumbles)

DEFENSE

Dockett 5 sacks
Campbell 6 sacks
Schofield 7 sacks
Porter 2 sacks
Haggans 2 sacks
Acho 2 sacks

PP21 3 INT's
Jefferson 1 INT's
Marshall 2 INT's
Rhodes 3 INT's

Wilson (Will re injure his arm in week 3 and not finish the season) :bang:

Teams leading Tackler will be Daryl Washington with 112 and he will have 2 FF and 1 INT.

PP21 will return at least 1 punt for a TD!

:D :D :D

9-7, and I do not see the team having a good start but they will get it together...yes, a loss to Carolina early would not shock me and the team bouncing back after that will not shock me either. I say at 9-7 we win the division by about 2 games

Card record: 10-6
Wells: 1300 yards, 13 TD's
PP: DROY
OL: by week 2: Levi, Colledge, Sendlein, Deuce, Keith. Lutui should start game 1 but won't. He was better than Hadnot all last year, why not this year.
Roberts: has a big year. 80 catches, 1000+ yards, 6 TD's
Schoefield: 6 sacks and somewhat disappoints
Washington: leading tackler
Rhodes: solid, unspectacular year
Rolle: 3rd straight pro bowl :D

I say we go 9-7. It's hard to say, we have so many question marks on both sides of the ball. If Kevin Kolb is above average I think we take the division. If not I think the Rams will take it because they look pretty solid.

In a van...down by the river.
Shane...your offensive predictions are very legit IMO.
Kolb will have a good year statistcally throwing to Fitz....and ya'll with move the chains in between the 20's.
I also think the Cards will improve in the red zone with a legit QB finding Heap & Fitz...great targets. I see a big resurgence offensively.

I would be concerned primarily with the pass rush on defense in terms of personnel...Horton's scheme may be ideal(i really have no idea) but i see the Dfence regressing a bit for one more season while Horton installs his system and Whiz decides whether or not he can trust him. That, and the defence needs more talent in the front 7 IMO.

It will be a meaningful December in the NFC West between AZ and St Lou :D

Here are mine. I am overly optomistic.

Carolina - W
Redskins - W
Seahags - L
Giants - W
Vikings - L
Steelers - L
Ravens - L
Lambs - W
Eagles - L
49'rs - W
Lambs - L
Cowgirls - W
49'rs - W
Browns - W
Bengals - W
Seahags - W

10-6 win the NFC West. I cannot ever take the Cowgirls to beat the CARDS.

Kold throws for over 4000 yrd with 20+ tds
Fitz 110 catches over 1500 yrds 12 TDS
Beanie - over 1200 yrds 7 tds 300 rec yrds 1 td
Roberts - becomes a steady #2 750 yrds with 6 tds
Doucet - 3 tds
Heap - 300+ yrds but 5 tds.
Campbell - 8 sacks
Dockett - 7 sacks
Washington will lead the team in tackles along with 4 sacks and 1 Int. He makes the pro bowl.
PP will have three int's.

Cards will finish @ 10-6. Rams are solid, but their schedule leaves them @ 9-7.
Kolb completes 60% & exceeds 20 tds. Shows incredible leadership down the stretch.
Fitz has monster year & we see that smile all season long!
Beanie has breakout year - 1200 yds, 10 tds, over 4 ypc
Roberts will be solid, but forgotten man DOUCET will be a difference maker, exceeding 50 catches & having 5 tds.
Defense will be better than expected, with the exception of the game @ Philly.
PP21 will score 3 tds, 2 via punt returns
Washington lead team in tackles, Schofield in sacks.
Porter does better than expected & gets 5 sacks.

Even I think it's crazy, but after counting 'em up I have the Cards at 10-6. My gut says they're not that good, but when I got down to the brass tacks of the schedule, I think they can pull it off.

Well, somebody has to do it:

6-10. Our OTs are the worst in the league and we still don't have a consistent pass rush. 2012 will be better.

Wow. If the Cards just beat the teams on their schedule that had losing records last season they'll be 12-4. Right?

I think 9-7 is reasonable. Favorable schedule especially down the stretch. I cannot predict a big year year for Beanie but it is very possible and necessary if we win the division. Fitz will be huge. Hopefully he has lots of help and Kolb surprises in a good way with his leadership and accuracy. I hope I'm wrong and they go 12-4. Defense would have to really be a lot better than most think now for that to happen.

Kolb: 3600yds 23 TDs 15 picks. I think he will make alot of mistakes early on as he settles into the job

Fitzgerald: 1300, 100 catches, 10 TDs. An improved year, but Kolb still holds him back a little. Second half of the season both Kolb and Fitzgerald get on the same page.

Roberts:600, 50 catches, 2 TDs. Roberts starts, but Doucet is more of the difference maker.

Doucet: 800, 60 catches 4 TDs. Doucet finally stays healthy and is a dangerous slot receiver. Finally the team has a few receivers capable of taking some of the load off Fitzgerald.

Heap: 500, 30 catches 2 TDs. Heap struggles to stay healthy.

Housler: 400, 20 catches, 4 TDs. While Housler stinks as a blocker, he becomes a threat to split the seam every time he's on the field. The Cardinals move him around and by years end becomes our most dangerous threat.

Beanie Wells: 1100 yards, 4.2 ypc, 10 TDs. Wells becomes a decent back, but the ground game still struggles with no other back capable of carrying the load.

Dockett 6 sacks
Campbell 8 sacks
Schofield 7 sacks
Porter 5 sacks
Haggans 3 sacks
Bradley 3 sacks
Daryl Washington 2 sacks
Acho 2 sacks

Defense struggles to get pressure and is still lacking that singular pass rush talent that can elevate the play of the entire defense.

We surprising finish 10-6, winning the NFC West. I have a good feeling about this year. If we had Kolb last year, IMO we easily win the NFC West. The Rams have improved, but so have we, likely more so.

9-7 ( I'd take that right now!)

W Carolina 1-0

We head into the last game needing a win against Seattle at home to win the division...and we do it! We win our last 4 games in a row and we will be one of the hottest teams heading into the playoffs.

9-7....could go 1 either way like 8-8 or 10-6, there's just too many unknowns for me at this point, although I do think we will get better as the season pregresses (on offense) Kolb and Fitz will get better and having Heap and King is very good. Our D is suspect and will most likely lose a few for us....so I'll go 9-7

I think we will go 8-8, which will be enough to win the division. But now that I look at our schedule, I really had to stretch the number of losses I see on the schedule.

That 4 game stretch from NYG to BAL will be hell, or as Kirk Gibson would say, "a bastard". Going 0-4 is not out of the question during that time, but I have use eeking out 1 victory. (koolaid alert)

I'm calling that the Steelers game will be our signature win this year. We always seem to have one of those at home.

Kolb and the D will take a while to get rolling in new systems, hence our slow start.

Niners suck, but they always seem to get up for us (kind of like we always do for DAL). So we'll split that series home-and-home.

Timmay Hightower goes off on us in Week 2.

The Eagles game will almost be as embarrassing as it was on Thanksgiving a couple years ago.

Once again, homefield advantage is in effect (7-1). Those early east coast games will be our undoing on the road more than once.

Ok, I'll bite...

1. Record of 9-7 or 10-6 range seems reasonable to me. Hover around .500 for the first half of the season and finish strong.

2. Kolb is a bit up and down -- 3000-3500 yards passing, slightly more TDs than INTs

3. Fitz is Fitz and will have another pro bowl caliber season.. the rest of the WRs all are productive but don't jump on the charts statistically

4. Heap and Housler both are major weapons in the passing game (Heap early, Housler as the season progresses)

5. Our OTs will continue struggle and Kolb will get sacked and be forced to scramble a lot.

6. Stewart Bradley will get a lot of snaps outside early and prove to be a pretty effective pass rusher from the edge. I can see him essentially being the #1 sub at every LB position for awhile (maybe all season) before eventually taking Lenon's spot.

7. The other OLBs will continue to underwhelm. Schofield/Acho will show flashes but struggle with consistency and Porter/Haggans will continue to show their age. Washington has a borderline pro bowl type season.

8. Our CBs will be very up and down. Peterson will continue to struggle in coverage (but get better as the season goes along) and make at least a couple of plays that make everyone say "wow". Same goes for the rest of our talented but unproven crop of CBs. Peterson will be a huge weapon in the punt return game and teams will start kicking away from him by middle to end of the season.

9. Wilson will play the entire season and be used better by Horton and have a much better season than last year despite the limitations with his arm injury.

10. Chester Taylor has a very good year as a third-down pass catching/blocking back and it looked at as a very shrewd pickup by us.

I think that's it -- nothing too overly dramatic -- a lot of what we have already seen in the preseason will persist early in the season, with gradual improvement as the season progresses.
