This is an Org and/or manager problem, what they are doing is not working. what do they have 5 or 6 Tommy John's? This pitch count BS, is just that BS. Pitchers are not conditioned to throw 150 pitches because the league has become soft starting down in the minor leagues. What's the opposite of the midas touch, cuz that's what the soft cliche pumper is - career loser

So is your point the Dbacks are uniquely terrible and somehow training/managing their pitchers differently than the rest of the league, even though the rest of the league has also been plagued by injuries and Tommy John surgeries, and the rest of the league’s starting pitching can’t often make it past the 5th inning?

In a bad sign for the DBacks, they are -130 favorites against the Giants tonight. Half Gallen is pitching - great opportunity for him to have a quality start before he is traded at the deadline. With a win, DBacks could crawl (once again) back over .500.

The Diamondbacks signed RHP Jake Woodruff, who was last in the majors in 2024 when he went 0-6 with a 7.97 ERA. He'll be the 30th pitcher this year when he makes his debut for for Arizona (31 if you include position players).

I'm sure this will end well.
