I’d rather just see Beck too, but I’m guessing they won’t “give up” on the season that early and the stutter step to that is one or two games from the Mustache before Beck gets off the bench.
Well, after we get smoked by the Niners next Sunday perhaps they may consider starting Beck.

yeah. This was a temp check and MLF isn’t a miracle worker. OL still lacks difference makers. Jacoby is still Jacoby. MHJ? Defense still lacks top talent. DC is still bad. Monti didn’t add top difference makers. That was always the issue with keeping so much status quo from last year.
That is def the fear right now.

He should have brought in help on defense but at QB not seeing it. Willis was the guy who people thought might be good, so far looks like we were right to not throw money at him. The guy everyone thought we should draft in the first round is the 3rd string QB for the Rams. I don't think there was a sure thing QB this offseason so hopefully JB from last week is what we get more of not JB from this week or it's Minshew and then Beck.

The defense makes no sense I said after cuts why did we keep so few CB's after last years injury fest, they're already getting injured again?

Nolen hasn't done much yet but I think he's largely getting doubled, Sweat was a bit better but still looks like a guy who missed camp. So we just don't have any play makers. Budda is completely cooked. I do like Wingard but he can't be one of your best players on defense if he is you'er not very good

I kinda feel it was the expectation. Winning 5 or 6 games and then firing Monti and Rallis seems like it was always the end result.
I still think 5 or 6 is gonna be a stretch. We may lose our next 7 games and after that Paris’ knee will start acting up again, Sweat will throw in the towel and we’ll be looking at Beck rookie time drubbings to end the season with guys more worried about collecting paychecks than bodies on the field.

Here are the things that have disappointed me.

1 - whatever personnel was needed to be a running team, Monti didn’t do enough. Still outmatched up front and Love isn’t good enough to change that vs a team like the Hawks.

2 - No pass rush. Still a passive scheme. Rallis does nothing to pressure the other team. The players on the team are limited and n their ability to do it on their own.

Lock did whatever he wanted. Zero pressure.

There was one play where Paris got blown up into the backfield and the guy made a play

Looked like he was on roller skates

It was that bad
He seems to have a few of those every game which is what makes him mid. He is still one of the best players on the team but that says more about the roster than anything. Just one of several examples of Monti doing less with more.

#3 in the draft Love. 3 yards per carry. 20 rush attempts. 60 yards over two games. 5 receptions for 25 yards. 1 TD.

Less of a criticism on him and more on how little of an impact a RB has on a bad team.
Best player in the draft.

I’m taking love unders until he hits an over

And yet he was clearly the second best weapon on the field. The offensive line was terrible at run blocking and mostly terrible at pass blocking
