Gallen at 80 pitches, Torey starts him in the 7th, he gives up a lead off double

Torey should have pulled Gallen after the double in the top of the 7th. But since it is SofTorey, that didn't happen.
I don't think he had anyone ready in the pen, yet...which is also a problem. There should have been someone in the pen during the bottom of the 6th

And just like that, Torey tries to rack up another "L" for the DBacks...the guy simply has no idea how to manage a pen. He definitely doesn't know when to get someone up and ready.

Gallen's free agent prospects were looking up a bit for 6 innings. Back to square 1 for him after the 7th. If he understood baseball as a business, he would have asked to be taken out after 6.

If Tori understood pictures he would’ve taken him out after the 6th

It's a typical Diamondback senario -

Staring pitcher has a pretty good start.

Diamondbacks score some early runs to take the lead.

Offense shuts down and doesn't extend lead.

Starter runs out of gas and Torey leaves him in too long.

Relievers allow inherited runners to score or allow runs on their own until game is out of reach.

How many times have we seen this played out this year?
