Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley turned heads when he opted to spend time with President of the United States Donald Trump ahead of the Eagles' scheduled visit on Monday.
A picture of the former New York Giants star at Trump's golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, made the rounds on social media on Sunday. More than that, they were caught on video stepping off Marine One together.
As usual, some fans liked seeing Barkley spend time with one of the world's most powerful people, but not everybody was impressed with the Super Bowl LIX champion's decision to hang out with Trump.

Barkley heard all the noise and took to social media to send a message to those bashing him for spending time with Trump. On Monday, the 2024 AP's Offensive Player of the Year hit back at critics while clarifying he wasn't taking sides in any political fight, just showing respect to the person in charge of running the country.
"lol some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT. Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump ! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day," Barkley tweeted.
Coming off a 2,005-yard campaign, Barkley is one of the best players in the NFL. He was key to the Eagles' Super Bowl victory, dominating opponents on a weekly basis to lead his team to the promised land.
As one of the team's stars, he's expected to talk during the Eagles' visit. Perhaps, he will address all the criticism in front of the microphones.
