The Super Bowl champion Eagles are dealing with their first adverse off-season situation after All-Pro running back Saquon Barkley played golf with President Donald Trump on Sunday in New Jersey before the team's official visit to the White House on Monday.
Barkley spent Sunday afternoon with Donald Trump at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey and then traveled to Washington, D.C., with the President.
Barkley received a lot of criticism on Sunday and posted this response on social media just hours before the White House visit.
Barkley’s appearance with Trump came a few days after Jalen Hurts raised eyebrows when he was silent about whether he would visit the White House with the team to celebrate their Super Bowl championship.
Barkley is an avid golfer and played a round with President Obama this summer, at an outing that Hurts attended.
