On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers had their season ended at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves, losing Game 5 103-96. Neither LeBron James nor Luka Doncic had great shooting nights, and they will return to Hollywood to like their wounds.

Most NBA fans have long grown tired of the Lakers and their "Evil Empire," and San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan is no exception.

He has long antagonized the Lakers and their fans. This season, he got in an altercation with Jarred Vanderbilt before taking to social media, and during his rookie season, he called out James in 2023 for flopping.

While the Spurs didn't make the playoffs, Sochan seemed thrilled to watch his rival Lakers get eliminated, highlighted by a post the next morning.

Beautiful day good morning y’all

The purple heart and timing of the post make it clear: he's talking about the Lakers.

Fans, both from San Antonio and Los Angeles, quickly took notice of Sochan's post.

While the Spurs and Lakers won't play again for several months until the next NBA season starts, Sochan will get a chance to go up against one of the Lakers' biggest stars.

Poland and Slovenia have a date in the FIBA EuroBasket Tournament on August 25. Sochan has long represented Poland in international play, and Doncic is expected to don the Slovenian jersey in what will likely be a rout, although for basketball fans wanting to see some drama, that game will be must-see TV.
