Sam Darnold will soon throw to a future rival of the Los Angeles Rams. Who happens to be among the franchise's most beloved players ever.
The new Seattle Seahawks quarterback has chemistry to build with Cooper Kupp. Both are the prized free agent newcomers on the 2025 Seahawks. They'll also soon learn when they get to face the Rams -- with the full NFL schedule release set for Wednesday.
Darnold, meanwhile, sent a strong message on Kupp. Which he shared to DJ Siddiqi of RG.org Monday. Darnold is getting the jump on developing cohesion with Kupp -- including witnessing the WR surprising him through certain meetings.

"We've been out for the last two weeks or so, Coop has been great," Darnold said. "He's such a hard worker. I feel like he's always in the quarterback room."
The last sentence is most telling. Kupp is clearly crashing the meetings Darnold is having with QB coach Andrew Janocko and offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
"If I can't find Cooper in the building, I always feel like I can go to the quarterback room and find him," Darnold said. "He's just always got his head in the playbook and trying to learn this as fast as possible."
Kupp is bringing the same Rams work ethic over to the rival Seahawks. The star wide receiver became revered for his preparation and knowledge of the offense. He's bringing 634 career receptions, 7,776 yards and 57 touchdowns in tow over to the Pacific Northwest.
Kupp, though, will be getting out of the Sean McVay-led offense for the first time in his career. Kubiak is known to hit defenses with a balanced approach featuring outside zone running and play action. Kubiak likes to attack the middle of the field, too, on throws.
The offense is a variation of Kyle Shanahan's system with the San Francisco 49ers. Though McVay has used some concepts of this scheme before. Still, Kupp is working as fast as he can with learning the Seahawks offense -- and becoming the new go-to for Darnold.
