From 2024 into 2025, Sabrina Ionescu has been on a whirlwind stretch. During the WNBA’s midseason hiatus, she represented Team USA at the Paris Olympics, helping secure a gold medal.
Upon returning, she played a key role alongside Breanna Stewart in leading the New York Liberty to their first-ever WNBA championship, defeating the Minnesota Lynx in the Finals.
More recently, Ionescu appeared at the 2025 Met Gala in New York with several of her Liberty teammates and was honored at her alma mater, the University of Oregon, where the Liberty played their final preseason game.
Now, she’s ready to open the new season as the Liberty aim to defend their title—starting with a headline matchup against former MVP A’ja Wilson and the Aces.
