With a road game at Auburn being Rutgers’ biggest nonconference test, Rutgers will take on Iowa in its first conference battle of the 2025-26 season on December 6th. Just four days later, the Scarlet Knights will take on another tough nonconference opponent in the Princeton Tigers, who have beaten Rutgers in three straight seasons by double-digit margins.

Rutgers will resume Big Ten play at the end of December, traveling to Michigan State on December 28th before hosting Wisconsin to ring in the new year on January 1st, 2026. The schedule continues to ramp up shortly thereafter, with a visit to Ohio State (NET ranking of 18) and a home date against Maryland (26) set for the following Sunday and Thursday.

After a couple of road games at Northwestern and Penn State, Rutgers women’s basketball will have a three-game homestand against Michigan, Washington, and Oregon. They open February with a West Coast trip to Los Angeles, taking on the conference’s premier programs in USC and UCLA, who each have a NET rating under 10 and made deep runs in the NCAA tournament, eventually falling to the eventual champions UConn Huskies.

The Scarlet Knights will return home against Minnesota before a two-game Midwestern swing at Purdue and Illinois. After that, Rutgers will host Penn State and Indiana before ending the regular season at Nebraska, the first time the women’s team will be on the road to end the season in the Coquese Washington era.
