People forget Awalt was better than Novacek with the Cardinals. Awalt had better numbers in 3 seasons with the Cards than Novacek had in 5. It wasn't until Novacek went to Dallas with Aikman and Smith and Irvin that he started to run up the numbers.

And when did they draft the studly Walter Reeves?
And it is hard to put up stats as a tight end against a division that was so far and away superior than the sad Cards.
