Yeah, a bit unexpected. His career had been relatively low profile since the early 1990s, but was very much one of the A-list prestige Hollywood actors of the 1980s. I found it a bit strange that his career had flown so low since the 80s, but apparently had some serious alcohol issues and got a reputation as being very difficult to work with.

Yeah, a bit unexpected. His career had been relatively low profile since the early 1990s, but was very much one of the A-list prestige Hollywood actors of the 1980s. I found it a bit strange that his career had flown so low since the 80s, but apparently had some serious alcohol issues and got a reputation as being very difficult to work with.

I didn't know any of this. But regardless, he was in some decent roles in the 90's and beyond that I liked such as Michael, Dark City, Mr Brooks, A History of Violence and of course Lost In Space (bad movie, liked it anyway).

RIP Mr Hurt, like far too many you died too young.
