Rickie Fowler News Emerges Ahead of The 3M Open originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Rickie Fowler’s Open Championship campaign ended with a flourish as the American shot a final-round 65 on Sunday to finish tied for 14th place at Royal Portrush.
Fowler has struggled at majors in recent years with just three top-20 finishes in 16 starts dating back to the 2020 Masters. But Sunday's round should give him confidence as attention shifts to the 3M Open this week at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota.
With many of the PGA Tour's top players taking the week off following a long trip home from Northern Ireland, Fowler will headline a marquee group alongside Tony Finau and Taylor Pendrith.

Fowler has played solid golf over the past couple months on the PGA Tour with five top 20s in his last eight starts. This will be his third career start at the 3M Open, where he finished tied for 34th in 2021 and tied for 38th in 2022.
Fowler’s group is set to tee off at 8:29 a.m. ET in Thursday's first round and 1:54 p.m. ET on Friday. The tournament offers a late opportunity for players to gain FedEx Cup points ahead of the playoffs.
Fowler is 63rd in the FedExCup standings with two events to go before the playoffs begin with the FedEx St. Jude Championship from Aug. 7-10. The top 70 golfers will qualify for the playoff opener.
