Sean McVay narrated a near 10-minute highlight reel to help land Davante Adams. Turns out Matthew Stafford also had say in the Los Angeles Rams bringing in the perennial Pro Bowl wide receiver.

General manager Les Snead revealed the involvement Stafford had in the blockbuster addition on The Pat McAfee Show Wednesday.

"Sean always collaborates on Matthew on some of the skill. And he was definitely all for it," Snead said, indicating Stafford gave McVay the blessing to pursue Adams.

Snead then revealed an "interesting" angle between Adams and the former No. 17 on the Rams Puka Nacua -- before the star wide receiver relinquished his number.

"Interestingly, I think Puka was going to give up 17 for 12 before Davante got in the building," Snead said. "Maybe he should've held on to the secret a little bit and maybe gotten Davante to give him a tip for that number."

Stafford will become the second Super Bowl winning passer Adams will play with. Fans watched Adams build lengthy chemistry with Aaron Rodgers at both Green Bay and the New York Jets -- the latter last season. Adams caught 67 passes for 854 yards and scored seven touchdowns in 11 games with the Jets.
