I'm not a dark-sider, more of a glass half full person. So all I can hope for is improvement week to week with the young players playing and getting better .

There is a whole set of the fan base that has no idea how to be this terrible. I am far from the darkside more of a realist myself but almost all my doomish predictions come true because happy clappy is for losers, that's right, for losers.

Winning organizations eat, breathe and poop out winning. That's not what this team has done in my opinion, we I guess thought we were smart now because we have had some modicum of non suck-age.

Then in a blink of an eye as if on cue from the universe above the curse re-asserts itself with the force of a f5 tornado spawned from a cat 5 hurricane during a meteor shower.

Step one, this team needs to remove whatever curse it's cursed with and I am dead serious, nothing else is going to ever fix anything long term.

Don't believe me? I'd suggest re-watching the best player we've ever had shaking his head NO NO NO in the SB....

Then after that curse is successfully lifted you can go out and get the best football minds you can and let them run the team.

Failure to lift whatever curse this team is cursed with is just going to perpetuate the cycle. Lift the curse first and that's not on me, that's on them, even if it's just having a curse lifting ceremony, I dunno I don't specialize in curses but it doesn't take a specialist to spot this team is cursed.

It's not just the curse though, on top of that it's seeing things as they really are. Without getting political the NFL is not your garden variety standard business. Our ownership is not by any stretch of the imagination the richest in the NFL but on the flip side teams like the Packers aren't either and they do ok for themselves so it really comes down to our strategy.

We just have to get a great GM that knows what they are doing but those aren't that easy to find if they were then every team would have one. That's the mission though, a GM that can out think the rest of the league, it all starts there.

Wilks in his intro presser told Michael Bidwill “I promise you made the right decision”. This is going to haunt us for years and will be played in jest over and over.

It seemed so forced.

This gimmicky rah rah rah crap was going to get old, I didn't think it would take 2 games though.

What the hell are you talking about? Are you implying we have a literal curse and need to hire a witch doctor?

Reminds me of the Office episode where Michael hits Meredith with his car, then procedes to blame it on an "office curse."

One thing about winning orgs: they identify a philosophy and stick to it. It makes transitions easier: HC to HC, Qb to Qb.

the Cards had spent the last five years drafting for a 3/4 defense with heavy emphasis on man to man coverage in the secondary, and, an offense that passed vertically.

They promptly hired a HC who believes in a 4/3 and zone, and, an OC who passes horizontally.

I think that change is a bigger deal that we realize.

Yes I'm saying that in my opinion the organization is under a curse and you laugh about a witch doctor but I'm not stuttering.

PS.

I will say again I'm not a curse specialist and thus I have no idea if a witch doctor or a shaman is needed, could be both, could be neither, maybe a team psychic?

Can you honestly say it could hurt?

they need to cede the 1925 NFL title to Pottsville already. Really, who cares anymore?

speaking of the fallout of a change in philosophy and its impact on personnel:

Meh...neither were better than meh prior to the scheme switch. My concern is how did our defensive head coach not recognize this when he took the job? He either did Keim a solid, or didn't study enough film. Neither is excusable.

Reddick was a ?, agreed

but Buccanon was a solid player in the old defense -- plusses and minuses

but where he is today......

Bettcher converted the Giants to his 3-4 and they look decent already, so I don't believe that excuse. Good coaching trumps all.

Not sure I've ever posted in a Dark Side thread over the years because I was just never willing to go there.... but here I am.
Yeah I think this is the worst offense I have ever seen out of Cardinals team.

I've seen much worse defenses out of the Cardinals unfortunately.

It can’t hurt. Does anyone have an ancient defense against the dark arts book laying around? I know the study in that field has been all but discontinued, but maybe we can bring it back for this special occasion? I say we get 3-4 of the boards most presentable individuals and go stand outside the teams HQ in Tempe and try to get a meeting with Mikey B and request to perform anti curse rituals in the facility.

Even though I'm not a speciaist I'd be glad to help, perhaps donate a lucky item or two to be combined with other fan donations and piled into a positive mojo shrine?

We literally have a case here where it could not possiby do more damage so if anyone should try this in sports this team is the best candidate.

I'm going to picture the team bathed in the light, a truly epic moment where the curse is blasted away forever by the combined positive thinking of all it's fans.

I say we just picture everything going right from here on out and see what happens?

Literally it could not hurt, and I mean literally.

The one thing the Cardinals need is a true franchise QB from he start of their career, havent had that for ages.

If they did get that in Rosen, the rest of it will work itself out

Could be a darkest before the dawn moment. I chose to see it that way perhaps positive thinking will actually work this time.
