When pressured, his stats were awful today and in career

He is a decent pocket passer when not pressured

Expect Green Bay to come with heat in their defacto home game at State Farm

Just Sayin…there’s a reason he is 19-35 as a starter

Gee I wish our DC would have taken notice.

The Colts secondary was very porous today with a couple of starters out (AZ receivers were wide open with lots of separation), shocked they didn’t bring more pressure, Brissett was 4-14 against pressure today and 23-30 with a clean pocket, lots of check downs went for 15+ yards as Colts secondary was bad

320 yards, 2td 1 pick and completions of over 20 yards or more to 6 different receivers.
Geezus, if this was Kyler there are some here that would demanding he be eligible for the HOF.
You got to give the guy credit. He might not do it again but I think it’s a little unfair to discount it. JB was throwing a lot of dimes.

he runs like he has a large woman on his back - but plays like he wants to put the team on his back

the accuracy issues while under pressure and immobility will likely send him crashing back down to earth (literally)

lol. Pressure causes inaccuracy most of the time. I wish our DC and head coach would realize it.

no bro - like bad issues - brissett had a really good day today but he's not gonna be that guy consistently unless he's somehow figured something out
I get your point. However, there are times when pressure shouldn’t happen. Carter missed a block and it almost knocked Brissett out of the game.
Think about this:
We’ve been lamenting over how Our wide receivers stink. Not today, huh?

Ya against backups - my goodness someone give this guy a dictionary to read what the word context means

Correct. Kyler has never played against second string or rookies. Boy , I sure hope he gets the chance. You are delusional.
I do indeed knows what a backup is. If we were describing posters, you would considered a back up.

Cards actually brought 5 today, a lot, based on what I heard on the telecast. Good first step.
No wonder we sucked. 5 is the no mans land where it makes the QBs throw a lot easier but rarely gets to the QB. A 5 man rush has a terrible success rate league wide.

Hopefully that experiment gets thrown away.

We know Brissett isnt a real starter, but it was nice to see a QB make passes on time with pressure in his face. There were 4 crucial 3rd down passes he made today that I have never seen Kyler make in his entire career. If Kyler was the starter all 4 of those plays would have resulted in punts. We wouldn't have cracked 17 points.

Brissett's level of play was so foreign to the average Cardinals fan that some of the more casual viewers thought Petzing was calling an entirely different offense. "Where are these plays when Kyler is starting?" We call that play all the time, but usually Kyler has gotten scared of the pass rush and is circling out of the pocket before the route develops.

More often but not enough. Didn’t disguise much in the way of blitzing.
Yep!

comparing Rallis’ blitz schemes to anything even remotely complex as a Bowles, Spags, Joseph (whom has changed), etc is a joke. It’s exactly why Iggles fans wanted them out in Philly, because it was too complacent & conservative. It’s exactly why our defense doesn’t get many turnovers.

Playing scared football is losing football in the NFL!!! We’ve seen the same philosophy for 3 seasons now, it’s who they are.

They need more speed off the edge & at least 1 stud to keep OC’s awake at night to create that chaos imo.

Totally agree, no one is arguing that brissett is the QB of the future, it's just blatantly obvious Kyler is sub standard at QB play that does not involve him running

Look, Brissett is a journeyman QB for a good reason. He is fairly mediocre. However, he probably gives the team the best chance to win over the #1 draft pick from 7 years ago.(which is rather depressing)

I imagine the Wide Receivers prefer the journeyman QB who is willing to stay in the pocket(knowing he is about to get clobbered at times)and actually throw the ball to them. It was rather refreshing actually watching a QB on the team spreading the ball around and often playing pretty darn smart football.

I never knew that about 5 man rushes.
Just putting 5 guys on the line and letting them rush lets the offense assign blockers and handle the rush more easily. Disguising who’s coming is typically more successful. The Cards are very vanilla. Philly used to get away with a 4 man attack because their front 4 was unusually strong. The Cards Dline is mostly ordinary. Continually relying on that strategy has proven a recipe for failure. It seems Rallis did more with less as he was forced to be creative. Now he seems overwhelmed by the options and has blunted what should have been a great weapon.
