I have the type that you see at resorts, probably 50'+ tall. Sometime during late spring early summer I think, it grows something that then drops mad black seeds all over my deck and in my pool and shortly thereafter, drops little tiny pollen like stuff that clogs up my pool filters. Anyone know the time of year these grow? My palm trimmer is bugging me about when I want it done but I want to make sure when it is done, it cuts those so I don't have to deal with all that cleanup.

I had one of those super tall palm trees in my yard years ago. One day a dog chased a cat up there. The cat climbed all the way to the top and wouldn’t come down. After 3 days I called a tree cutter guy to climb up and get it.

When the guy got about half way up the cat jumped.

About half way down the cat went full flying squirrel and spread its legs like a parachute. When it hit the ground it bounced at least 6 feet into the air then landed on its feet and ran away.

I saw it around the neighborhood after that. It was fine.

I'm not sure but they sure do like to make a mess out of my pool and pool deck.v

one thing I read about palm tree seeds as some of them are edible but the process is so massive to get to him that it's not worth anything
