True. I dog on the kid in most situations..but his acting talent is undeniable.Pattinson is becoming one of the most diverse actors of this generation, if he isn't already.
I had no idea this was an attack on Chris Hansen until I heard some of his interviews.
There’s nothing to “steal”. He’s a public figure, the show was a popular TV show and it’s based on an Esquire article about it.Yeah, weird situation. I read how Hansen was buying ads before showings to tell a brief bit of his story and that made me dig deeper. I was looking forward to it before that. Hansen claims they essentially stole his life story and told it without his input, which is shady as hell but not all that surprising given Hollywood's history.

You want movies with the person it’s based on or the families input and what you’re likely going to get is Michael, where they’ll totally whitewash the main character’s life and just forget to focus on the numerous child molestation accusations.
Best script I ever read in my 25 years here was this incredible Sinatra movie that somehow told his story both from the beginning and end of his life with the movie end as the shifting narratives somehow met in the middle of his life where you find the beginning of his end and where he chose the wrong path. Written by Phil Alden Robinson (Field Of Dreams/Sneakers) was gonna be directed by Scorcese, star DiCaprio… but it got INTO all the dark that Sinatra was actually into and his daughter killed the project. Such a shame.
I watched "Michael" and very much appreciated that they ended it before all that ********. It was about what made him who he was and how he fought to be independent of his father... which is a story that fans already knew having watched the interviews and such back in the seventies and eighties. There’s nothing to “steal”. I think the difference is, Sinatra was telling stories that had always been behind the scenes, while Hansen is telling stories that are already public.Sinatra is/was a public figure also so why could his daughter kill a project but Hansen can't do the same about a story of his life? It doesn't matter, ultimately. It's skeezy to profit off someone else's life like that, especially while they're living and tried to put a stop to it.
