Scott Parker’s Clarets were locked in a fiercely contested race for the Sky Bet Championship title last campaign, which was ultimately decided deep into stoppage time on the last day thanks to Manor Solomon’s dramatic winner against Plymouth Argyle. Amassing 100 points, Burnley were runners up to the Whites on goal difference.
One to watch:
Alongside keeper James Trafford, defender Maxime Estève was pivotal in helping Burnley break defensive records last campaign as they won promotion back to the top-flight. The 23-year-old centre-half joined the club permanently in 2024 after enjoying a loan spell from then-Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier.
