The 2025 NFL draft is two weeks away and we have a feel for the quality of the rosters around the NFL and what sort of team they might be in the coming season. That is why Touchdown Wire's Jarrett Bailey put together some predraft power rankings.
The Arizona Cardinals coming in lower than is probably warranted, as they, coming off an 8-9 season in which they were in the division lead after 10 weeks and making improvements to the roster, are ranked in the bottom 10.
But how do all four teams in the NFC West shape up against each other and the rest of the NFL?
Let's have a look.
Matthew Stafford returns and they swapped out Cooper Kupp for Adams in the receiver room. They have a good young core of defensive players and young skill players on offense in Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua.
They suffered a lot of turnover in the offseason, losing Javon Hargrave, Dre Greenlaw, Charvarius Ward, Talanoa Hufanga, Aaron Banks and Deebo Samuel. They have players to fill their spots, but they aren't quite as competitive as they once were.
It is worth questioning whether Darnold is an upgrade over Smith other than in age. But now they have Darnold without two of their best pass catchers.
This is an unfair ranking if we are being honest. They were a perfectly mediocre team last season and, on paper, they have improved. To be ranked a bottom-10 team is a bit silly.

Let's have a look.
Los Angeles Rams: No. 5 overall
The Rams were mere plays away from heading to the NFC Championship Game, and likely the Super Bowl. Adding Davante Adams makes their offense that much more dangerous. Adding pieces to the defense in the draft needs to be the top priority.

San Francisco 49ers: No. 14 overall
They may as well re-name the team the San Francisco Christian McCaffreys because they stink when he isn't in the lineup, and they've gotten rid of just about every other good player from the last half-decade. Plus, they're about to pay Brock Purdy money he's not worth. They'll be better than the 6-11 record they posted in 2024, but the elite era of the 49ers is over for the time being.

Seattle Seahawks: No. 23 overall
Getting rid of Geno Smith to rebuild and start anew is a fine idea. Getting rid of Geno Smith to bring in Sam Darnold on a three-year deal? That I don't understand. Trading away DK Metcalf and replacing him with an oft-injured 32-year-old slot receiver? Also don't get. Nothing the Seahawks have done this offseason makes sense, so color me a skeptic.
It is worth questioning whether Darnold is an upgrade over Smith other than in age. But now they have Darnold without two of their best pass catchers.
Arizona Cardinals: No. 24 overall
We live in a void where every year, the Cardinals win six games and we say "Kyler Murray will have a breakout season this year." And then the cycle repeats.
This is an unfair ranking if we are being honest. They were a perfectly mediocre team last season and, on paper, they have improved. To be ranked a bottom-10 team is a bit silly.
