The 2026 NFL Draft took a big hit when Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore chose to spend another year in school, scuttling plans for quarterback-needy teams at the top of the board like the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals. So where do those teams turn now? With just one quarterback expected to be picked in the top 10 this year, that takes another option off the board for the New Orleans Saints at eighth overall.
So we surveyed a dozen mock drafts published after Moore announced his decision on Wednesday. After Nine players were consensus picks to go top-10 (having made the cut in at least nine of the 12 mocks), but just five of them were unanimous locks. The unanimous picks are in bold on this list, and the numbers are their average draft position:
So there's still a good chance for the Saints to get one of this year's top players at a position of need. Any of the three receivers could be available. So could Love, a favorite of recent mock drafts. The only players in this group that would give us real pause are Mendoza (who won't be there) and Mauigoa, who could start at right tackle and move Taliese Fuaga inside to left guard. You'd just like to add more juice at one of the skills positions if possible.
If you're curious, two other players appeared in at least six of these post-Moore mock drafts: right tackle Spencer Fano, Utah (seven times, 4.7) and defensive tackle Peter Woods, Clemson (six times, 7.0). Auburn edge rusher Keldric Faulk (five times, 7.4) was the only other prospect who appeared more than twice.
But we know why you're here. Who are the Saints taking in these mock drafts? A third of them predict Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love to wear a gold helmet again in 2026, but there's no consensus just yet.
