Will Brissett make a legit case to be starter?

I don't know if the Cards want to trade Kyler at the deadline.

But if you did want to trade him at the deadline you'd make a big deal out of a nothing injury, but still have him practicing so people know it's not serious and tell everyone he's still the starter when healthy.
The Cap hit would be unacceptable. I’m old enough to remember when the owners voted on how to handle bonus money and not setting up a way to make it trade-able. The theory was this system would discourage teams from paying huge bonuses. Obviously when a cheap team, like the Cards, pays this bonus the intension has failed.

Yes to get more wins let’s replace the guy with 2 wins with one with none.

Let's stick with the smaller guy, who can't read defenses or see open receivers, can't or won't step up into the pocket, gets happy feet, and hasn't sniffed more than 220 yards in passing offense in any of the games he has played in this season against inferior teams instead of the guy who passed for 320 yards and 279 yards against much better teams and seemed to have some control in the offense.

Only Kyler Fans

i about lost it when brissett went down grabbing his knee brace - i needed to know how jacoby would finish the game - my brain is weird - it wasn't just concern for brissettt

brissett finished the game with no unforced turnovers far as im concerned- especially compared to the kyler variety

brissett utilized all his receivers again - this helps trey mcbride as much as it helps anyone - i think it's why trey had 2 tds yesterday

then bam went out and brissett kept moving with rb #5 carrying the ball - oof - this allowed the packers to concentrate on pressuring brissett who still didn't turn the ball over in crunch time

this isn't a controversy for your's truly - brissett never got off the field when parsons pulled him down - brissett never wavered in the pocket that became nonexistent- if he did that well with this o-line forgetaboutit

i will say it once again for those in the back - jacoby if you want to win - kyler if you want to draft

question is do we want to win? we're not catching the whiners and have zero percent chance of a wildcard

This team should always want to win if the goal is to change a culture of losing.

It’s a $14 million net gain if we trade him. The team who gets him takes on all the guaranteed salary going forward. You have to eat $30 million (pro rated over the season so far) this year, but you’re rid of him.

Kyler won’t be be moved because there’s no market for him, not because he’s too expensive to the team taking him.

I think at the very least Jacoby has made himself a little money these last two weeks.
He’s signed for next year. At his age that will determine his future earnings. He has proven the Cards could draft a QB who needs to sit for the first half of the season and that would be okay.

Just looking at two games for what it is, #7 looks like a starting NFL QB... dare I say a poor man's Carson Palmer who is more mobile

Let's put it this way. The last two games were competitive and fun to watch even though we lost, and that's what football is all about.
The first 5 games, even the wins, were all butt clinchers because everyone was just waiting for Murray to do something stupid...albeit the defense did let us down in two games and I'm not even gonna mention the Titans game...my mouth is still hanging open in disbelief
