A young woman (Katie Holmes) tries to make Thanksgiving dinner for her estranged suburban parents (Oliver Platt and Patricia Clarkson) at her apartment on New York's Lower East Side, while also introducing them to her new boyfriend, Bobby (Derek Luke). Unfortunately, the meal doesn't go exactly the way she hoped it would … beginning with that temperamental oven!
Starring: Katie Holmes, Patricia Clarkson, More
    Director: Peter Hedges

I have been on a independent kick lately, I this one was awesome. Katie Holmes was great. Sean Hayes made a brief appearance and was very unJack.

I really enjoyed this movie. It features Katie Holmes before all of the TomKat stuff and Oliver Platt, one of my favorites. A good movie about the “black sheep” of the family.

Katie Holmes only movie where she gets somewhere close to something called acting.

Rewatched this one. Decent little film with a solid cast. There just aren't that many good thanksgiving films.
