The Philadelphia 76ers will be looking to move forward in the offseason after a miserable year in 2024-25 as injuries decimated the roster. The Sixers do have the No. 3 pick in their possession so that is what will be helpful for them as they look to bounce back.
With that being said, one has to wonder what free agency will look like for Philadelphia. The Sixers have 11 free agents they have to take care of. The cap space will be a bit limited in 2025 after the big spending spree in 2024, so don't expect the Sixers to be major players in free agency, but they will be looking to keep a number of key free agents.
Up next in this free agency series is Jalen Hood-Schifino who the Sixers brought in on a two-way deal as injuries continued to pile up for them. He played in 13 games and averaged 7.8 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.0 rebounds while shooting 30.4% from deep.
Free agency status: Unrestricted
Years in the league: 2 years
Prediction: Stays
Hood-Schifino showed some good attributes during his short time with the Sixers in 2024-25. He didn't have the greatest shooting percentage--which shows he has some work to do--but when considering he was selected in the 2023 draft, it might be worth it to bring him back on a two-way deal. He has athleticism, can run the offense as a point guard, works hard, and if he can become a competent shooter, then he can be in a team's rotation. Coach Nick Nurse is somebody who always loves to have many ball-handlers on deck so this could be a good spot for him to continue to develop as a young player in this league.
