Scottie Scheffler now holds golf’s Triple Crown after a late start and a fourth-month climb up the PGA Tour’s money and FedEx Cup points ladder.

Scheffler’s four-shot victory over Ben Griffin on June 1 in The Memorial, at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, finally gave him the lead over Rory McIlroy on the Tour’s money list. The $4 million first-place check in the Tour’s Signature event gave Scheffler more than $14.5 million in earnings, while McIlroy, who opted out of the tournament, stayed pat with $13.9 million and change.

Scheffler retained his lead on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup points list and has held onto the No. 1 ranking in the world for the 142nd week in a row, the third-longest streak in history behind Tiger Woods (638) and Greg Norman (331).

Scheffler started the season a month late because of a hand injury and didn't win until the PGA on May 18. He's won three of his last four starts and won The Memorial for the second time, only the second player after Tiger Woods to win successive events at the tournament hosted by Jack Nicklaus.

Griffin, who has two victories and four top-10 finishes in his last six starts, moved from 13th to fifth on the money list with his $2.2 million runner-up finish. Sepp Straka, who earned $1.4 million for finishing third in The Memorial, jumped Justin Thomas and is now in third with more than $9.6 million, while Thomas is fourth ($8.79 million).

There are now 87 players who have earned $1 million or more this season, and seven more who are at $900,000 or more.
