Pelicans @ Suns Sunday Playoff game thread 4-17-2022 - Game 1

On Sunday the Suns will open the first round of the playoffs against the winner of the Pelicans @ Clippers game on Friday night.

I will update the opponent later.

The first two games of the seven game series will be played at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.

The second meeting will be on Tuesday.

The game will be televised on Bally Sports Arizona and TNT.

Start time will be 6 p.m. Arizona time.

I think the Clippers are a much tougher foe, even without George. These Pelicans are downy soft.

I'm hoping the atmosphere in the arena and the huge jump in pressure of the playoffs rattles the Pelicans, we romp in the first 2, win game 3 close and close it out in 4 or 5.

Of note, our only loss to them this year was the game when we were forced to try out "point Book" again. Paul, Payne and Holiday didn't play.

I was at that game... it was the only game I went to this year that flat out sucked, we stumbled out the gate and never found any real rhythm.

I'm curious as to what the matchups are going to be, NOP has been starting ultra long lineups with McCollum (6'3), Herb Jones (6'7), Ingram (6'8), Jaxson Hayes (6'11) and Valanciunas (6'11).
