New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs knows the stakes in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, but the team will continue to go about its business of taking everything one game at a time.
Of course, a win would be huge for the Patriots, as it would lock up the AFC East divisional title for the team for the first time since the 2019 season.
Diggs played a major role for the Patriots in their upset win over the Bills back in Week 5, recording 10 catches for 146 yards. The team might need a similar effort from the four-time Pro Bowler if they have any hopes of upsetting quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills for a second time in the same season.
“It’s exciting when you have a lot to prove and are playing with that edge and you’re playing aggressively," Diggs told reporters this week. "Nobody believed in us but us. The record is surprising to everybody. All we did is take it one game at a time and I think we’ll do the same thing.”
The snow falling all around Gillette Stadium could have an impact on the matchup.
Can the Patriots overcome the elements and a desperate Bills team to keep their place on top in the AFC? All of the talk of a cupcake schedule should go out the window if the Patriots knock off the Bills for an 11th straight win on Sunday.
