Former New England Patriots center David Andrews is preparing to eat crow following the Patriots' 20-13 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

There were a lot of fans, including Andrews, who came into the regular seaosn opener with high expectations, but they were met with the same issues the team struggled with last season. They couldn't finish drives with touchdowns, and they made too many mental errors late to overcome.

"I suck at analyzing the game too because what I said on pregame went out the window very fast," Andrews said, when appearing on Zolak & Bertrand. "I was high on the team. I was excited for the team. I told Jim Murray I couldn't wait to hear how sad [Mike] Felger and Mazz [Tom Massarotti] were when they won. So now I'm going to have to eat that."

Hopefully, Andrews won't have to eat crow too many times this season.

The Patriots are a talented team on paper, but they are also young and rebuilding. It might take more time before they're able to finally live up to expectations.
