Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young certainly seems to be jamming with his organization's latest first-round pick.

Young got the chance to chat with reporters on Tuesday, following the very first session of team organized activities. He, unsurprisingly, was asked about wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan—who could be his new No. 1 target moving forward.

"I've seen him, I've played against him in high school, I've seen him and followed his career ever since high school," Young stated. "So I've always, whether it was playing against him or from afar, that was someone I always had a ton of respect for. I loved his game, I've been around him before that too, heard great things, loved his work ethic, had seen him live."

The Panthers nabbed McMillan with the eighth overall selection of the 2025 NFL draft back in April. Shortly after that choice, the 6-foot-4 All-American pass catcher revealed that he had actually trained with Young in their home state of California prior to the draft.

McMillan also claimed that Young "stood on the table" for him when it came to Carolina making their pick. So, did he?

"I trust in Coach [Dave] Canales and Dan [Morgan] on the decision. They were gonna do what's best for the team," Young later added. "They obviously felt that's what was best. Obviously, to me, it was music to my ears."

Hopefully for Young, McMillan and the Panthers, that soundtrack will also include a lot more of "Sweet Caroline" in 2025 and beyond.
