Packers Fans Make Their Stance Clear After Bears Extend GM Ryan Poles originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

In the three years of having Ryan Poles as their general manager, the Chicago Bears have found limited on-field success, compiling a 15-36 record with no playoff appearances in that stretch.

However, throughout the offseason, he's facilitated some big moves, including trading for offensive guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson, as well as signing free agent center Drew Dalman and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett.

Now, going into the 2025 season, led by the 2024 No. 1 pick, quarterback Caleb Williams, there's some hope that the Bears can turn things around and potentially capture their first winning season since 2018.

It's obvious that a lot of faith has been put into Poles up until this point, which is apparent by Chicago signing him to a five-year extension, keeping him with the team through the 2029 season.

ESPN sources: the Bears and general manager Ryan Poles have reached agreement on a contract extension that ties him to Chicago for the next five years, through the 2029 season. There have been a lot of mixed reactions about the move, but it's become clear that Green Bay Packers fans are excited about the new deal, as their team has gone 5-1 against the Bears in Poles' time with the team.

"Saw Jayden Reed on the jugs machine this morning, now this. Great Packers news day," said one comment.

"Thank goodness (as a packers fan) (he hasn’t won a single thing ever)," said another.

"what a huge win for packers fans! MORE POLES! SIGN HIM FOR LIFE!!!!!!" a third added.

A fourth stated, "Packers fans rejoice. May the offseason champs keep being the offseason champs."

"This is glorious news for Packers fans," a fifth continued.

"Best news of the day as a packers fan," said another.

Though time will tell if these fans feel the same way after the Bears and Poles' newest additions face off against Green Bay next season during their Week 14 and Week 16 matchups.
