Back in the era of workhorse NFL running backs, Chargers legend LaDanian Tomlinson set a record that seemed untouchable.
Now, Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs, himself a throwback workhorse, has a chance to tie it.
Jacobs heads into Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns with a rushing touchdown in 11 consecutive games, including playoffs.
LT scored a rushing touchdown in 12 games in a row when he was playing for the then-San Diego Chargers. That's the NFL record.

If Jacobs runs into paydirt, he'll have tied the league record.
Jacobs has been a major success story since the Packers signed him before the 2024 season.
The Raiders had decided they simply didn't want to shell out a big contract for an RB in the modern NFL.
The Packers got him for what has turned out to be a discount, and Jacobs has been a star.

At this point, it's hard to be against Jacobs finding the end zone. If Green Bay gets the chance, it'll certainly do what it can to keep Jacobs' record run going.
He's already well past Green Bay's previous record, which was held by the legendary Paul Hornung. Now it's just Tomlinson between Jacobs and history.
