NORMAN — The SEC announced OU football's three annual opponents and the rest of the Sooners’ conference for the next four years in the new nine-game league slate on Tuesday,
The Sooners’ three annual opponents, which were reported by On3 on Monday, are Mississippi, Missouri and Texas.
In addition to those matchups, the Sooners will host Kentucky, South Carolina in 2026, while traveling to Florida, Georgia and Mississippi State next season.
In 2027, OU will host Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee and travel to Auburn, LSU and Vanderbilt. During the 2028 season, the Sooners will host Florida, Georgia and Mississippi State and travel to Kentucky, South Carolina and Texas A&M.
In 2029, OU hosts Auburn, LSU and Vanderbilt, while traveling to Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee.
The priorities in creating the schedules were protecting traditional rivalries, competitive fairness, rotational frequency and ensuring a home and away balance with a Power Four non-conference opponent for the 2026 season.
Adding a ninth game and using the rotational model will allow for some matchups that haven’t been played with any regularity in the regular season.
The three annual opponents will be re-evaluated every four years. The dates for the Sooners' 2026 SEC matchups will be unveiled in December.
