NORMAN — Jake Hansen, a three-star shooting guard in the 2025 class, announced he has committed to Oklahoma.
"After a great conversation with coach Porter Moser," Hansen wrote on social media, "I am blessed to receive and accept an offer to play basketball at the University Of Oklahoma."
Hansen chose the Sooners just over a month after leading Wauwatosa West High School to a state championship. He previously held offers from Arizona State, St. John's and others.
A WBCA Division II All-Star, the Wisconsin product is 247 sports' No. 79-ranked shooting guard in the 2025 high school class. Kai Rogers, an 2025 OU signee, played at Wauwatosa West before moving to Overtime Elite in Atlanta.
At 6-foot-1, Hansen finished his high school career with school records in points (1,524), field goals made (507), 3-pointers made (245), free throws made (265) and wins (76).
Hansen is the latest addition of Moser's rebuild following the Sooners' first NCAA Tournament berth during his tenure. Hansen joins transfers Xzayvier Brown (Saint Joseph's), Tae Davis (Notre Dame), Nijel Pack (Miami) and Derrion Reid (Alabama) as well as incoming freshmen Alec Blair, Andreas Holst and Rogers. OU highly-touted JUCO prospect Jeff Nwankwo, who missed this past season due to an Achilles injury.
Four players from last season's roster entered the NCAA transfer portal, while true freshman star and projected lottery pick Jeremiah Fears declared for the NBA draft.
