If you lived in Chicago. But most of the season ticket holders live in the Northwest/North Suburbs. So on the opposite side of Chicago from where the season ticket holders live.

That is like saying the distance from Central and Camelback to either Glendale or Mesa Riverview is the same - for those few Cardinal/Coyote season ticket holders that live in Central Phoenix - sure. But for those in the east Valley, huge difference
This is incorrect.

The season ticket holders dwell heavily in the west burbs and downtown chicago as well as the southwest side or chicago and southwest suburbs.

But anyway the drive distance isnt an issue. Its a moot point.

The point is the powers that be in Illinois botched this. Their may exist a chance for change but odds look slim.

“Moving outside of the city of Chicago is not a decision we reached easily,” Warren wrote. “This project does not represent us leaving, it represents us expanding. The Bears draw fans from all over Illinois, and over 50 percent of our season ticket holders live within 25 miles of the Arlington Heights site.”

Gambo was on a roll this afternoon. Their producer Lauren is a Bears' fan. Gambo asked her if she thought Chicago could get an expansion team in the future. He was going after her a few different times about it, so she cut his mic.

They're not going to change the name, LOL. It's no different than the Jets, Giants, Cowboys, Commanders, and 49ers.
It's very much like the Chiefs building their new stadium in Kansas (which is the plan). Same metropolitan area.

It's not just the Bears leaving Illinois. In a short time, all of these big companies have left.

Boeing (to Arlington, VA)
Caterpillar (to Irving, Texas)
Tyson Foods (Springdale, Arkansas)
Citadel (to Miami, FL)
PEAK6 Investments (to Austin, TX)

No need to bring in an unrelated political topic into a sports thread

Pointing out that other big companies have left the state is not making it political. Just pointing out a business trend. And this is a sports thread, not a ports thread.

Citadel was the big one. Boeing too

Catapillar though was collateral damage with all the jobs lost

No, it’s not related in anyway to the Bears. And yes, you made it political

Back to topic - One Huge BENEFIT for Illinois is that of this happens, given that the Indiana stadium will be basically on the state line, and doesn’t have amenities that people want, Chicago will still get the vast majority of benefits from events (hotels, shopping, tourism) while Indiana would bear the costs.

Incorrect.

People will be staying at Hammond hotels an d eating at hammond steakhouses the night before. If you build it, they will come.

Kind of like when Glendale hosted their most recent Super Bowls, but all of the parties were held in the East Valley and even the Super Bowl Experience was relocated to the Phoenix Convention Center. No one really wanted to be in Glendale except for the fact that's where the game was being played.

@Dback Jon - Cute edit on my post. Do you need someone to show you how to do it without leaving a history of the edit?

Also, do you know who else uses speech to text every day? My mother-in-law, but she checks for typos before ever sending something she speaks into her phone. LOL

Yes.

When my wife goes to Chicago for conferences she tries to stay outside of the city because their innkeeper taxes are so exorbitant. Room cost difference is anywhere from 20-25% usually, and the rooms and amenities are usually worse (no free parking or breakfast, etc.) There's a really cool hotel overlooking the river we stay in when we go for St. Patty's Day, but the hotel breakfast is like $25 bucks a person on top of parking.

Trucolor -- meant to ask you...

I noticed a lot of copper logo theme at the unveiling of the training site yesterday. Have you heard of anything?
No, but I've noticed that as well. I've also noticed that the banner on the Cardinals' site is somewhat Rivalries-themed.

Sounds like you were at the London House.

Chicago is a huge ripoff but its nice to go enjoy the energy from time to time.

Their idiot mayor and previous leadership have made it very uneasy at both day and night. Violent crime is rampant.

I could have. But I didn’t. I know how. And I really don’t care. Only PAs do
