Well, this would be a bad year for drafting QBs high. Maybe they are planning to bottom out this year, in anticipation of a better crop in 2026 2026 draft.

They better be really sure they can sign Darnold otherwise this is a serious downgrade.

Assuming Darnold here, because it’s the only player that makes sense. Rodger’s is a 1 year lease. The rest are a downgrade.

Geno’s advanced stats are much better than his traditional stats. Seattle’s offense is going to fall off hard. Also DK is likely gone.

If they replace him with Darnold we just jumped up the NFCW totem pole.

Geno might be "better," but age isn't on his side as it would be for a Kyler trade.
But the contract is a factor too. Geno is cheap.

LOL

I thought Geno was an amazing QB?
I've personally never made this argument, but at 34 years old, the Seahawks aren't idiots for getting rid of him.

Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees have adjusted us to thinking a QBs 30s can still be a very productive decade, but the truth is that most QBs fall off right now.

Stafford is another exception, but look at Cousins and Russell Wilson... two guys who might struggle to find teams, and if so they'll have to accept it's for a backup role or competition.

Two points

Geno has only been a starter for 5 years and has plenty of tread left. Geno has 83 starts, Kyler has 82.

Carol resurrected his career and is about to give him a giant extension in LV, so they look at him as their QB of the future.

I like Geno, he's been underrated.

A 3rd for a 4300 yards 70% comp rate QB with a 7.5 YPA is very good value. If he can get back to his 30/11 season of 2022 then even more so.

I like this for the Raiders. Smart move. Gives them 3-4 years of a minimum of decent QB play with a very good ceiling and time to find their QBOTF for not a lot of investment.

Come at us when Kyler sniffs 4,300 yards passing lol

Geno is a turnover machine with good weapons and decent line.

I love how you guys back peddle on dudes that were supposedly so much better than K1.

Geno
Darnold
Herbert

Then when they are exposed it’s back to hating on K1 without even an acknowledgment of how wrong you are.

K1 might be a gagger but the above dudes are no better and most are worse.

i dunno

IMO: Darnold had an A level offensive line, and a top 3 in the NFL set of WRs with the Vikes

I dont think you get Vikings Darnold performance on the Seahawks given the WR and OL. Maybe they change that in the offseason
