The Jets are weighing all options with Breece Hall’s future, including a tag and/or an effort toward a long-term deal.

Some inside league expect the transition tag for Hall (around $11.7M), but that’s yet to be determined.
we should make it easier on them.
Kyler and DeMercado to the J-E-T-S

Hall and a conditional 2nd to the Cardinals..... 2027 pick
....3rd, that bumps to a 2nd if Kyler plays more than 60% of the snaps in 2026

Pretty sure demercado isn’t even under contract anymore. Nor should he be - I know 2025 was a lost season for many reasons- but if I had to say there was one turning point from this team being competitive to being a dumpster fire and losing all gas - it was his boneheaded TD drop/loss to the titans. He doesn’t do that - and a lot of people could still be holding their jobs today

Imho thats exactly when the seaon was lost and never recovered plus JG getting fined probably took a lot of wind out of his sails

The season was truly lost on Thursday vs. Seattle at home. One can argue the loss at Santa Clara. They were playing people competitively, then the season spiraled. MHJ has to step. Teams will have trouble with MHJ and McBride, Wilson. But the OL has to get upgraded.

I'm not a fan of spending big money on a running back. There are solid, cheaper options at running back that we could sign instead.

Trey Benson will save us
I think there are plenty of examples of teams signing FA RBs to larger contracts and having success. I would rather do that than use a top 5 pick on a RB. Honestly, if you can get a 3 year deal done with a top RB, it limits the downside. Lots of paths to take depending on what you want to do.

Meh. I don’t think paying Breece Hall like Saquon Barkley or using a top 5 pick on an RB are the only options here.

I don’t really see “limiting the downside” as a priority at the RB position, either. You have to get someone more reliable than Trey Benson but better than Michael Carter. This is why you have pro scouts.

I also think Demercado can be the guy. The previous regime’s pigeonholing of him only on third downs seemed ill-conceived.

The #Falcons are planning to franchise tag standout TE Kyle Pitts, sources say, keeping their playmaker in the fold on a 1-year, fully guaranteed deal worth more than $15M.The hope is to work out a long-term deal rather than the tag. The two sides have until July to do it.

The Colts have no intentions of letting Alec Pierce hit free agency, per
@TomPelissero
.

If necessary, Indianapolis will franchise tag Pierce if they can’t reach a new deal.

Pierce was projected as one of the best available free agent wide receivers.

I would argue for Breece Hall because he generates a good number of missed tackles, breaks tackles, can catch the ball, and can break off big runs. To me, that is an ideal skill set for a RB in today's NFL.

that said, I am fine if the Cardinals just sign Tyler Allgeier as long as they spend in other areas.

Source: The #Commanders and RT Andrew Wylie have agreed to a 2-year, $7.5M contract with upside to $10.5M, keeping him off the FA market.

Wylie has started 34 games in 3 seasons with Washington and wanted to stay with the organization. A win-win deal for both sides.

My lord. One season over 1k yards and no seasons with more than five rushing TDs.
