I personally feel that we'll get everyone signed and in for the rookie camp in June, but if www. profootballweekly.com is to be believed, they are hinting that holdouts will occur again this year becuz of the waiver/release issues.

I know that this topic (waiver release) has been hammered to death but lets hope that this isn't the case.

Observation #2:Who put Minnesota on our pre-season schedule, especially on their turf........arn't we inviting Rob Moore type injuries just before the season starts.....or have they new "fake turf" now?

Hate to disagree but there is no way the Cards top draft picks will be signed prior to June minicamp. It just doesn;t happen that way since both the Cards and agents involved seem to prefer waiting until there is some urgency (ie the start of training camp). I think all parties would be smart to get things going negotiating wise right now, but that won't happen.

As for the MN preseason game, the NFL doesn't care what happened in 99...otherwise they would ban astroturf or force MN to replace the stuff they have now.

Didn't the NFL cancel a preseason game in Philly because the turf was in such bad condition?

If memory serves, Baltimore refused to play their pre-season game in Philly due to the condition of the turf.

It wasn;t because the urf was bad but rather there were seams showing which could cause serious injury. MN's turf just sucks...although I am going to be there in a couple weeks for a Twins/White Sox game.
