Some NFL teams began an official offseason conditioning program yesterday. Do the the Cardinals have one? If so, when does it begin?

Of course they have one, but I'm not sure when it begins.

Wendell Bryant has been at the complex, according to Jurecki....a very good thing.:)

jurecki comments on this:

said it started on the 24th ..I think it starts at the same time for all teams (plus or minus a day or two - cannot start earlier due to players union)...

cardinals will not release who is there..but in a few days they will give out #'s on the percentage of players who participated.

other comment: wendall bryant has been in phoenix pretty much the entire offseason and has been spending 2 1/2 hours per day working out at the cardinals facility..FYI

sorry to keep quoting jurecki over and over..but there is really no other media here in phoenix that talks much about the cardinals on radio or tv during the offseason.. news will pickup once march madness ends and the draft approaches..

It started yesterday.

Actually the best coverage of the Cardinals' first day of offseason came from Cardinal-hater and Dallas-lover Gary Meyer of the NY Daily News.

He posted a column on Pat Tillman and quoted extensively from Dave McGinnis (whom Gary said he interviewed during yesterday's first day of workouts).

Gary was probably in the Valley covering the League meetings and dropped in at the facility.

Good reporting (even though I believe Gary does have a Felon-bias).

Here are some of the guys that I saw today:

Marcel Shipp
Josh Scobey
Jason McAddley
Bryan Gilmore
Josh McCown
Preston Parsons
Trev Faulk
Renaldo Hill
Dennis McKinley
Michael Stone
Dennis Johnson

and Jake Plummer...at Chipotle.

There were more here today working out, but I didn't see all of them.

Jake was eating lunch with Preston Parsons.

It is kind of funny. I have seen Preston four times since the season ended. Three times at Chipotle and once at the facility...that was today for the offseason program.

It's good to see that a lot of the young guys are there!

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I hope he gets in shape, he quite possibly could be our Qb of the future.

It's not a big deal considering the workouts that these dudes go through. Plus Chipotle is helathier than a Taco Bell joint. I'm sure it could be worse!

OK. Here's the deal. Jim O: If you can provide me a list of everyone on the roster and whether they are or are not participating in the Cardinals offseason program at the facility, I will post a snipe next to each player's name on their profile in the BRS which either reads: "Participating in Cards'Offseason Program" or "Not Participating in Cards' Offseason Program."

Fans should know which guys are busting their butts at the Cardinal facility and which guys have chosen to (hopefully) bust their butts elsewhere.

Maybe a little exposure might serve as incentive for more guys to show up and work out with their teammates. And conversely as a dis-incentive for guys to take the offseason off....
