For three months, we've known that it was coming--a new shoe from Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson, the three-time MVP of the WNBA who has also won two league championships and two Olympic gold medals. Nike and Wilson had worked on the shoe, and a whole signature apparel collection that goes with it, for two years.

As Wilson said in a statement from Nike, "If you think you’ve seen my best, think again,” says Wilson. “We worked for over two years to create the Nike A’One to help me redefine the limits of greatness and advance the game to another level.

"My signature shoe is worth the wait — engineered for my game and my style, and built to motivate the next generation to go big. Just wait to see what we do with it.”

Over the weekend, Wilson and Nike released the first commercial attached to her shoe. With the caption, "From the playground to the playoffs, real ones know there’s only one A’ja. The A'One drops May 6 in SNKRS., the ad quickly went viral on Twitter/X, racking up nearly 2 million views.

The WNBA responded on Twitter/X, saying, "Yeah we’re gonna be singing this all day."

Another fan commented, "This is one of the best campaigns I’ve seen from Nike."

Wrote another: "This is a moment. The attention to detail throughout this is A1. Welcome back Nike."

And another: "Nike nailed this one — they didn’t just drop a shoe, they honored a legacy in the making. @_ajawilson22 been a pillar for the W, a role model, and a powerful ambassador for the brand. The A’One reflects everything she stands for."

The official release date for the line is on May 15, and when it drops, Wilson will be one of just four active players in the WNBA who have their own shoe lines, joining Sydney Colson of the Fever, as well as New York Liberty stars Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart.

WIlson and the Aces will open the WNBA season against the defending champion New York Liberty on May 17.
