NiJaree Canady, Texas Tech vs Ole Miss live score updates in NCAA softball WCWS opener

NiJaree Canady and the 12th-seeded Texas Tech Red Raiders will make their Women's College World Series debut against the Ole Miss Rebels on Thursday night at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.

Canady was voted national Pitcher of the Year on the inaugural USA TODAY Sports Network All-American softball team after leading the Red Raiders with a 30-5 record, 0.89 earned-run average and 279 strikeouts in 205 innings pitched.

The winner of the Texas Tech-Ole Miss game will play either Oregon or UCLA in the second round Saturday while the loser will face the Oregon-UCLA loser in an elimination game Friday.
