The game may be big enough for FOX Sports' top announcer crew but when it comes to the teams, neither is that compelling. The Bears are winless and the Cowboys needed a miracle or two to avoid losing their second straight game, surviving the Giants in OT in Week 2. Prediction: Cowboys 27, Bears 20
Yes, the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and a bunch of stars. However, the Giants are 0-2 and so is KC. This has the makings of a blowout because the Chiefs defense is far better than the Cowboys, who are no longer Doomsday on "D." Prediction: Chiefs 23, Giants 10
An NFC South rivalry that does little to excite. The Panthers were being clobbered by the Cardinals before they came to life. The Falcons stifled the Vikings. They get Bryce Young after J.J. McCarthy. Lucky them. Prediction: Falcons 23, Panthers 20
All the Daniel Jones highlights in Indy can't make anyone playing the Titans compelling. They are a team that has one touchdown and eight field goals in two games. Keep it rolling, Joey Slye. Prediction: Colts 23, Titans 12
Jake Browning versus Carson Wentz at QB. Pass. Or please don't. Prediction: Bengals 24, Vikings 16
This has the makings of a blowout in the land of the winter whiteout. Prediction: Bills 30, Dolphins 17
Teams that ruled the AFC in past years meet at Gillette. Something is awry with the Pittsburgh defense, which couldn't stop either the Jets or Seahawks. The Patriots showed some offense against the Dolphins, which isn't a huge accomplishment. The game is in Foxboro, but time is ripe for Pittsburgh's 2025 version of the Steel Curtain to rise. Prediction: Steelers 23, Patriots 10
This is another game with major blowout potential. Don't be stunned if the Saints stay with the Seahawks for a while, though. They were competitive with the Niners, who had Mac Jones at QB. That is the same SF team that beat Seattle in Week One. There are no moral victories, though. Prediction: Seahawks 27, Saints 17
Could the Texans' season be on the line in Week 3 of the 2025 season? Well, they are 0-2 and going into Jacksonville for an AFC South. The Jags have split their first two games and are playing decent football. This would be a stunner if Houston, the defending AFC South champs, lose their first three games. Don't look now but ... Prediction: Jaguars 34, Texans 27
Biggest question coming into this game between teams that are both 1-1 is whether Jayden Daniels will play. The second-year sensation has a knee injury. If he can't go, it will be a revenge game for former Raider Marcus Mariota at QB for the Commanders. Not exactly a revenge game to make many folks salivate over. Prediction: Raiders 20, Commanders 16
This one could be disastrous for Aaron Glenn and Gang Green. Justin Fields is in concussion protocol. That could mean Tyrod Taylor against Baker Mayfield and the Bucs at Raymond James. It is a short week for Tampa Bay, which is 2-0 with a pair of one-point wins. This will be by considerably more. Prediction: Buccaneers 33, Jets 23
The only reason this game ranks as high as it does is because the Packers are looking like one of the best teams in the NFL. That makes any contest they are in a must follow. If Matt LaFleur's team keeps getting better they could rival the Eagles for best team in the NFC if they aren't there already. Prediction: Packers 24, Browns 13
They are both undefeated in the NFC West and that makes this game extremely interesting. The Cardinals were impressive in the first half against the Panthers in Week 2 and took the second half off. Mac Jones got going in place of Brock Purdy with a win over New Orleans and some impressive passing stats. Expect the road team to win a thriller. Prediction: Cardinals 23, 49ers 20
Sean Payton against Jim Harbaugh is a great coaching matchup. The Chargers will be without Khalil Mack but their defense picked up for its leader against the Raiders. The Broncos are coming off a brutal loss to the Colts. This is a big game for LA because it already has beaten the Chiefs and Vegas in the division. A 3-0 start in the AFC West would be huge for Harbaugh & Co. Prediction: Chargers 23, Broncos 17
In most weeks, this would be the biggest game on the schedule. It takes a back seat here because there is a better matchup on MNF. The Eagles are featuring a more balanced attack thus far, perhaps saving Saquon Barkley carries. The Rams have a strong offense, too, led by Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. This could be a fun one. Prediction: Eagles 27, Rams 20
Which Lions team shows up? The one that was throttled by the Packers or the one that crushed the barely there Bears? The Ravens bounced back from the brutal loss to the Bills by crushing the Browns. They are the goods. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry against Dan Campbell's troops. Fantastic duel. Prediction: Ravens 37, Lions 33
