The Dallas Cowboys have made their decision and have turned in the card for the No. 12 pick. Taking things down to the wire, presumably trying to find a trade partner, they instead decided to strengthen their offensive line for the second consecutive year. Having lost right guard Zack Martin this offseason to retirement, the club has selected Tyler Booker, guard from Alabama.

The Cowboys selected offensive line with two of their first three picks last year, landing Tyler Guyton for left guard and Cooper Beebe at center. The team spent a ton of free agent resources on the interior of the line as well, signing several depth pieces as well. Booker will join 2022 first-round pick Tyler Smith on the interior duty of keeping the pocket clean for Dak Prescott.

The Cowboys have seen both Martin and Tyron Smith retire this season, although Smith spent the 2024 season with the New York Jets. Dallas last used three first-round picks in four years on the line in the 2010s, when they drafted Tyron Smith in 2011, took a year off and then took Wisconsin center Travis Frederick in 2013 and Notre Dame's Martin in 2014.

The club is hopeful to recreate this Great Wall of Dallas for the third time, under the stewardship of offensive coordinator Klayton Adams and offensive line coach Conor Riley.
