Nebraska continues to make moves in the offseason, landing multiple transfers and 12 commits in the 2026 class as of the second week of July. But one of its more recent commits already turned heads back in May when he received praise from the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Wide receiver Larry Miles got the opportunity to train with Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward back in May. Ward is entering his rookie year with high expectations following a record-breaking year with the Miami Hurricanes.

Miles not only jumped at the opportunity to train with Ward, but he also made an impression on him. The four-star wide receiver earned praise from the quarterback, who even said, "I hope I play with you one day."

Miles put together a strong junior year at Jones High School in Orlando, Florida, catching 68 passes for 1,204 yards and 10 touchdowns. But to receive high praise from an NFL quarterback, let alone the number one overall pick in the NFL draft, while still in high school, does add to the excitement of what's to come from the future Husker.
