With the Jets losing Coles to Washington there is a lot of talk, that despite signing Conway, they need to draft up in order to secure one of the top two WR's. While most of the discussion has them moving into the 3-5 range, what if they couldn't make a deal and Johnson was available at #6, should we take their two #1's (13 and 22)? If we did we could probably get Haynes (DE) and Faine (C) and then maybe Lloyd (WR) in the 2nd Rd. What does everyone think?

I have also heard that the Jets sit on these picks and take a DT at 13 and Kelly Washington with the 20 something pick. That's what I'd do if I were them. I hope your info is closer to correct then mine though.

I am mixed. I like that the Cards could get 2 1st round picks BUT with thier track record of signing thier number 1's, we wouldn't have any of them until Oct. On the the other hand if they are picks in the lower round, they might have a shot of signing them faster since Bidwill wouldn't have to pry his tight wallet open as far. I would say trade 'em. On a seperate note, letting Boston and Plummer go without ANYTHING was extremely foolish but that's history that I hope doesn't come back to haunt.

I am mixed. I like that the Cards could get 2 1st round picks BUT with thier track record of signing thier number 1's, we wouldn't have any of them until Oct.
I think the way you play out that scenario is - you wait til draft day to see who's there at #6. If no guys you absolutely love (Suggs? Newman? Rogers? Robertson? None of the Above?) are there, THEN you make the trade.

The only risk to this strategy is that the Jets might get jumpy and do a deal earlier with another team.
