New York Giants star wide receiver Malik Nabers continues to make progress in his rehab for a toe injury.

Coming off a sensational and historic rookie campaign, Nabers has been sidelined throughout the offseason workout program due to a toe injury. There doesn’t seem to be much cause for concern, but head coach Brian Daboll did provide an update Thursday.

“He'll be doing similar thing that he's done the last couple times he's been out," Daboll told reporters. "He did a little bit of walkthrough here, but he's progressing. He'll be okay."

It’s never ideal when a team’s star player is absent for the offseason workouts, but there’s still a long way to go before this becomes an issue to be overly concerned about.

Nabers is the catalyst of the offense as he comes off a campaign that included 109 receptions, the most ever by a rookie wide receiver in NFL history. Considering he did so with a lackluster group of quarterbacks, there’s plenty of excitement regarding what he can do with Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and Jaxson Dart.

Time will tell whether Nabers gets on the field before training camp, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Giants were overly cautious with the star wideout, especially given that this toe issue dates back to college.
