The New York Giants provided some good news on Tuesday when handing out physically unable to perform (PUP) list designations. While left tackle Andrew Thomas and running back Eric Gray were added, wide receiver Malik Nabers was notably absent.
After missing spring workouts as he recovered from a lingering toe issue, Nabers will return to practice on Wednesday without restriction.
"Ready to go," head coach Brian Daboll said of Nabers.
Nabers will practice without restriction, although the Giants may eventually opt to limit his workload.
In addition to Nabers, rookie running back Cam Skattebo and rookie defensive tackle Darius Alexander will take the practice field. They, too, missed spring workouts with undisclosed injuries.
Skattebo will push for a short yardage role, while Alexander could end up starting alongside superstar nose tackle Dexter Lawrence.
All three returning to the field is a positive step forward for the Giants, who have been crippled by injury issues for nearly a decade.
