Question - After you've finally stopped the hemmoraging at the cornerback position, in part, by drafting a top rookie who's played like a veteran from Day #1 - do you risk everything by letting the rookie return punts?
MigratingOsprey said:I definitely think it's a bad move ... rolle has the ability to be a top 5 corner ... don't risk blowing out his legs on punt returns
santana moss is still hampered by injuries caused on the return game
sehorn had his over-rated career crippled when he got injured returning as well
not sure why you'd want a guy like that in line to get smacked around
Well put!Shane H said:Absolutely not.
Deion Sanders is the rare exception to this rule. Even your best punt returners may average maybe 12 yards a return and get a TD maybe once or twice a year. Sorry but I would rather stick with a measley 5 yards average or so and no TD's then risk injury to a franchise caliber CB.

The all knowing Gambo said he has been begging to get a shot at it.
