Arizona travels to ABQ to face local team New Mexico this Saturday.

Anyone making the trip?

Nick Wilson likely out for New Mexico Bowl

•It appears leading rusher Nick Wilson won’t play in the New Mexico Bowl on Saturday, as Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez all but declared him out. “It doesn’t look very good for him for Saturday,” Rodriguez said. The official injury report is expected to be released Thursday. Senior Jared Baker likely will get the bulk of the work. QB Anu Solomon suggested slot receiver/return specialist Tyrell Johnson also could get some carries.

Not according to Rod Smith...

"Brandon probably gives us more completeness at quarterback," Smith said.

Doesnt mean he's better. I think what Smith meant was that he's more of a fit for the RichRod offense d/t better running ability.

As of now, Anu is the better thrower and his ability to run is improving.

Overall, Anu is the better quarterback, but that doesn't mean that Dawkins cant supplant him (during spring camp, Dawkins was awful).

New Mexico is excited to be there, au isn't. This is a classic bowl scenario in which the less talented team usually wins.

Lobos beat au.

Agree that Auburn wouldn't want to be in New Mexico. Long ways away from Alabama.

He might play...if we get up 30+ on them in the 4th quarter.

Dawkins had a decent day against ASU, but Anu is a significantly better quarterback.

Doesn't really matter to me. Anu is ok but we know what he is. A sandlot QB with limited upside.

STILL using "au"? I thought that died years ago.

I use "au" and it has zero to do with the Auburn football scoreboard. Auburn is abbreviated "AU" and "au" is "arizona university".

Growing up in the Aggies-Longhorns rivalry, I know nothing irritates people from Austin more than Aggies calling their school "tu". (They might like being called "teasips" less.)

I translated that to this rivalry and yep, that's why that school down there is "au".

Would of been nice to have a healthy Scooby and Anu all year. Nice to win the final game heading into spring ball.
