On Monday, October 6th, the Suns are traveling to China.

----------------------------------

By Duane Rankin, Arizona Republic:

The Suns are taking a 17-hour private charter flight Monday, Oct. 6, to China for a weeklong stay that ends with two games in three days, Oct. 10 and 12, against the Brooklyn Nets at the 14,000-seat Venetian Arena in Macao.

No connection flight, either.

-----------------------------------

Arizona’s Family and Arizona Sports 98.7 FM will broadcast both games from remote locations.

The TV crew will work out of a studio at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Kevin Ray, Eddie Johnson, Ann Meyers Drysdale and Amanda Pflugrad form the broadcast team.

The radio station will use a conference room at PHX Arena to broadcast the game. Jon Bloom and Tim Kempton make up the Suns radio tandem.

I'm hoping there will be local television coverage of the games in China beyond NBA TV, even though the start times of 5 AM on Friday and 4 AM on Sunday may pose a challenge.

Interesting. Hope the US and China can get more on the same page in politics. That's all I want to say on that subject.

Wonder if we'll be better than the Nets this year. I guess we should. We're not going to be that level of bad, surely. And I would keep resting Jalen Green. Not sure what's ailing Mark Williams.

Your post above confirms they will be on Arizona Family TV. Word of warning, I missed the first half of the first quarter of the first preseason game as my guide on Arizona Family TV still had regular programming showing like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. I had to manually record them. Thanks for the start times as I will record those times.

I allowed for an alternative because Suns.com presently only shows NBA TV televising the game.

However, I'm hopeful it will be televised locally on AzFamily.

I'm telling you that it will be. I watched the first one on AZFamily with Kevin Ray and Eddie Johnson. All the rest of the preseason games are also being broadcast by AZFamily. Your post even lays out what studio they'll be in while broadcasting as they won't actually be in China with the team.

I've got the suns+ streaming plan, and one nice feature is all the games are recorded and available on demand. Thinking I might get up an hour early to watch the Friday game though.

Jalen is looking pretty good in this workout. I'm more concerned about Mark Williams. I haven't seen him working out.

Just to be clear, all the Suns preseason games will be televised on AzFamily including the ones in China.

I found these older articles from July.

Yes, we can do 5AM and 4AM games.

In the above video, Ighodaro looks taller (6'10") than anticipated and Fleming (6'9") a bit shorter.

Assuming level ground, and all guys wearing the same height sneakers. My kid played AAU ball, and a lot of the guys wore slides between games.
