I have a hard time believing the Jets are going 12-4. Sanchez doesn't look good

Not sure the Falcons can get to that mark either...

Texans do look better so far this year

Rams better than the Seahawks...I dunno

Other than the 9ers winning the west, cuz I'm a homer, not a bad assessment

I just started working on mine, but so far I do agree with your NFC South.

My NFC West is quite a bit different. I do agree on the 9ers going 10-6, but I also have the Cardinals going 10-6 and I have the Seahawks and Rams swapping places. I do agree that the Rams are getting better, but record wise I'm not so sure it will show much. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rams upset the Cardinals in week 1 tho. If the Rams can win @Oakland(week2) or vs Washington(week 3) I could see them doing a bit better than the record I have them at now.

Your math is off, by one result. There must be 256 wins and 256 losses in the league. Your predictions add up to 257 wins and 255 losses. You need to take a win from a team and give them a loss.

Mine won't even be that close, I'm betting. I'm way into "new" math.

If DA has a decent year I suggest we will 9-10 games. I am generally a pessimistic sort of person when it comes to the Cards so that is my real feeling. If DA sucks I will go with your prediction. Of course Hall might come in and be an instant success. It hapens some times. Why not now?

It's ironic to me that you label yourself a pessimist towards the Cardinals yet this post is strongly grounded in optimism.

The AFC South is much improved and defenses are starting to stack up to to stop the Colts attack. Their running game is awful and Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark are their only true passing threats, as of now. I am also going against the pundits who say their D will be improved and have a feeling they may take a step backwards. I think the Texans are primed to take over this division in a season or two for a while.

That is why my message was unusual for me. If I think the team will win 7 games I will so state and usually do. I opened my message "If DA has a good year" we can win 7-10 games. I think he will. I cannot remember the last time I ever posted we would win 10 games. I have followed this team since 1944 when I lived in Chicago. I have learned the hard way to never be real optimistic with the Cards. Under Warner, Hart, and Trippi there was always room for some optimism. Most of the other years was pure heart break.

No, you're actually only one result off as well, but the other way (255-257). You need to take a loss from a team and give them a win.

You really think the Dolphins are going to go 1-15? Wow. They are my sleeper team of the year. I'd like to hear your reasoning for them winning only 1 game all season.

They might do better, but their middle of the schedule is brutal. I could see them winning this opening game, but after that it gets very difficult.
Week 2 @Minnesota
Week 3 vs NY Jets
Week 4 vs New England
Week 5 BYE
Week 6 @Green Bay
Week 7 vs Pittsburgh
Week 8 @Cincinnati
Week 9 @Baltimore
Week 10&11 vs Tennessee and vs Chicago (maybe they do win these 2)
Week 12 @Oakland
Week 13 vs Cleveland (win-able)
Week 14 @NY Jets
Weeks 15&16 vs Buffalo and vs Detroit (win-able, but Detroit will be bettr this year)
Week 17 @New England
That's 7 of their first 8 games that could very well be all be losses. The next stretch have mostly winnable games, but that 7 games stretch may have taken it's toll at this point. If they do go 1-7, I don't see them doing any better than 6-10. Maybe they do a bit better, but that's how i feel about it. Mostly a strength of schedule issue more than Miami being that bad.

OK, I put the entire NFL schedule on an excel spreadsheet and picked all 256 games for the year. The surprising result was some radically good teams in the league and a few really horrendous ones. Of course, there will always be upsets throughout the year that will skew the projections.

I tried to be really honest and objective with my picks, and much to my dismay, the results I ended up with have the 49ers winning the division by a game over the Cards. I had the teams splitting the season series, each winning at home. Oddly enough, I had the Cards going 10-6 again, but missing the playoffs.

It will be interesting to look back at the end of the season to see how we all did.
